Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit the website etshadaat.com (the "Website") or write to us through its contact form, and what your rights are.

This English version is provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

It only covers the Website. Use of the Valoda application is governed by its own privacy policy, available at valoda.app.

1. Data controller

Ets HaDaat, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €4,000, whose registered office is at 61 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 106601511. Contact: [email protected].

2. Data we process

Contact form

When you write to us, we receive the information you enter:

• your profile (school, teacher or student);
• your name and email address;
• the name of your school or organisation, if you provide it;
• your message;
• the language in which you were viewing the Website, so that we can reply in that language.

This information is sent to us by email. The Website does not store it in any database.

Visiting the Website

As with any website, your browser sends your IP address and technical information (browser type, requested page) to the servers that deliver the Website: those of our host Cloudflare and, for fonts and icons, those of Google Fonts. The Website does not use any audience measurement or advertising tools.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Replying to your requests (information, demo, support): our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us and, for a demo or quote request, taking pre-contractual steps at your request.
• Delivering and securing the Website: our legitimate interest in ensuring the Website works properly and securely.

Your data is never sold or used for advertising purposes.

4. Recipients

Your messages are read only by the Ets HaDaat team. We use the following providers, who act on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): hosting and security of the Website;
• Resend (United States): delivery of contact form messages to our mailbox.

The Website also uses the Google Fonts service of Google LLC (United States) to display its fonts and icons: your browser then sends your IP address to Google's servers.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

As these providers are based in the United States, some data may be transferred there. These transfers are governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or otherwise by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

6. Retention period

Messages received through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and at most three years after our last exchange, unless a contractual relationship is entered into between us. Technical data related to visiting the Website is not kept by Ets HaDaat.

7. Your rights

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the amended French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You may also set instructions regarding what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to us at [email protected]. We will reply within one month. If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

8. Minors

The contact form is also intended for students. If you are under 15, please ask a parent for permission before writing to us.

9. Cookies

The Website does not set any audience measurement, advertising or tracking cookies. Details are given in the cookie policy.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated, in particular to reflect changes to the Website. The date of the latest update is shown below.
